Overview

Night Care & Support Assistant – Location: Dorset House Residential Home, Hamworthy, BH15 4HL. Pay rate: £12.50 to £12.75 per hour + paid breaks. Shift: 8:00pm to 08:00am. Hours: Full time & part time available (to include alternate weekends).

We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Care & Support Assistant to join our care team at Dorset House, a caring and friendly residential care home near Upton Country Park and Poole Quay, located in Hamworthy, Poole, BH15 4HL.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering excellent person-centred care, focusing on the care needs of each individual resident with dignity and compassion.
  • Following the care plans of our residents and fulfilling their personal needs – supporting with washing, dressing, toileting, food & drink, and mobility.
  • Building relationships and providing companionship – residents’ wellbeing is paramount.
  • Supporting and encouraging residents to remain as independent as possible.
  • Working as part of a team to create a safe, warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors in their home.
Who we are looking for / Qualifications

Dorset House is keen to meet people with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents. You’ll need to be naturally compassionate and understanding of others. Previous care experience is not essential for our Night Care & Support Team. You may be in a customer care role or have helped within your community. A full induction and training programme will be provided to support you. You need to be 18 years or over to join the team at Care South.
