A subsidiary of a healthcare trust is seeking a highly motivated Multiskilled Craftsperson (Mechanical Bias) to join their team in the United Kingdom. This full-time role involves maintaining Alnwick Infirmary and other sites, participating in an emergency on-call rota, and ensuring the operation of critical services. Ideal candidates will have M&E Building Services experience and possess strong communication and technical skills. An Opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Multiskilled Craftsperson (Mechanical Bias) to work at Alnwick Infirmary. The successful candidate will work alongside the current multi skilled team to maintain Alnwick Infirmary the new and current Berwick infirmary and Rothbury Community Hospital sites. The post is 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday and will also take part in the emergency on call rota.

The successful post holder will be involved in the day to day operation and maintenance of all Building/Engineering, life and business-critical services, plant and equipment within all Trust and non-Trust properties within their remit, including some installation work. They will be required to participate in the Estates on-call rota and undertake essential out of hours on-call duties, as directed.
The successful applicant will already have significant M&E Building Services experience, be versatile, able to handle conflicting priorities and have the ability to work under pressure. They will be computer literate, have good technical knowledge and ability, with good verbal and written communication skills. They will also possess good interpersonal skills, allowing them to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel, within and beyond the organisation.
NHFM is a wholly owned subsidiary of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Established in 2012 and provides specialist project management services for large and small capital developments, estates maintenance and a full range of facilities services. The successful applicant will be an employee of the subsidiary organisation and not Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
