Job description

LevelOut is one of London’s fastest-growing boutique reformer Pilates brands, with 17 studios launched since January 2023 and ambitious plans to expand across the UK and Europe. We are on a mission to make world-class reformer Pilates accessible, exciting, and community-driven.

We are looking for a creative, data-driven, and commercially minded Marketing Manager who thrives in a site-based, multi-market business. You will understand the balance between centralised brand strategy and localised execution and know how to apply this to maximise performance across all studios, whether in London or overseas. Short term, the absolute focus is on creating a playbook to increase capacity for London sites and integrating brand strategy to ensure LevelOut grows ahead of an increasingly competitive Reformer market. Long term, we need to take this brand global. The business sits within a wider holding company that will be launching two new consumer brands in 2025 and the role may later evolve to support marketing across the broader portfolio as those brands grow.

The role is an incredible opportunity to lead the marketing function in the business as the first dedicated marketing hire. We are very committed to supporting really excellent work, and you will have mentoring support from an experienced marketing leader at board level & a £1000 training and development budget.

Role Overview

The Marketing Manager will own and deliver LevelOut’s marketing strategy, both at a brand-wide level and tailored for individual studio performance. You will identify underperforming locations, diagnose the cause, and develop targeted campaigns and partnerships to drive awareness, trial, and retention at a local level, while ensuring the LevelOut brand remains strong and consistent.

You will also play a key role in executing the rollout of the new LevelOut brand strategy, translating it into concrete marketing plans, visual identity systems, and in‑market activations that bring the brand to life across every touchpoint.

This is a hands‑on role. You will regularly be in our studios, working with managers, engaging with members, and building hyper‑local marketing initiatives, as well as collaborating with partners and stakeholders in different cities and countries to ensure campaigns land effectively in every market.

While this role does not have direct reports initially, it represents the start of a transition from an operations‑led organisation to a brand‑led one. You will work closely with agency and freelancer partners to deliver best‑in‑class marketing execution and will help lay the foundations for a future internal team structure.

What you’ll do:
  • Execute and implement the LevelOut brand strategy across all channels including social media, email marketing, website, and in‑studio communications.
  • Translate brand strategy into clear creative briefs, campaign plans, and channel guidelines.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive brand playbook on content, tone of voice, design, and activation best practices.
  • Ensure consistent and compelling brand storytelling across all channels and markets.
  • Collaborate with creative partners to produce engaging and effective assets.
  • Lead new studio launches from pre‑opening buzz to post‑launch retention campaigns.
  • Develop and implement tailored marketing plans for individual studios to drive growth and improve performance.
  • Work with local teams to understand customer profiles and market dynamics to enhance local marketing efforts.
  • Deliver neighborhood‑level activations, partnerships, and community events to increase brand awareness and trial.
  • Plan and manage integrated campaigns using a mix of paid media, organic social, influencer activity, partnerships, and events.
  • Manage agency and freelancer relationships, ensuring clear briefs, alignment on KPIs, and accountability for results.
  • Track and report on marketing performance, using data insights to refine strategies and inform future activities.
Who you are:
  • Senior experience in a marketing role, ideally in fitness, hospitality, retail, or multi‑site consumer brands.
  • Proven success delivering both centralised brand campaigns and locally adapted activations in multiple markets.
  • Experience working with agencies and freelancers to deliver effective, results‑driven marketing programmes.
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to diagnose performance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Strong understanding of paid media, social media, partnerships, and event‑based marketing.
  • Data‑driven mindset with experience using analytics tools to guide decision‑making.
  • Passion for health, fitness, and wellness.

💸 Salary: £45,000 to £50,000
