About the Role
As Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance, operation, project delivery and emergency response associated with compressor, pipelines & installation assets. This role provides leadership of maintenance teams on Upper Tiet COMAH Beach terminals. The purpose of this role is to ensure the efficient delivery of world‑class safety, reliability, and financial performance whilst protecting the local environment and supporting the local community whilst engaging with relevant regulatory bodies to ensure that required standards are met.
What You'll be Doing:
Provide leadership to maintenance teams on Upper Tier COMAH Beach Terminals - driving high levelsLocal performance to meet or exceed productivity, utilisation, asset reliability, safety, and environmental compliance targets
Ensure the safe management and delivery of maintenance, operations and provision of 24/7 emergency response within NST including the safe setting to work of all work activities in accordance with Safe Control of Operations (SCO).
Support the construction and commissioning of new assets onto the system in pastors with agreed policies & quality standards, and the provision of accurate and timely asset condition information to inform the development of asset investment strategies.
Recruit and lead a highly motivated, capable, innovative, and integrated maintenance team, developing talent and a performance management culture to drive value through staff engagement and holding people to account.
Develop and champion change management within Operations and standardisation across areas
Prepare, manage, and report financial plans and budgets for your area, ensuring sufficient resources are available and forecasting is accurate, supporting Gas Transmission to meet its financial objectives including self-delivery of CAPEX funded site improvements
Act as the company representative in dealings with external regulators, agencies, customers, and stakeholders ensuring that GT remains compliant with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements providing a trusted operator assurance.
Provide technical support to guide NST strategy on future operational requirements and investment priorities to ensure required future operational capacity is met

Key Requirements and Experience
- Able to demonstrate capability in Gas Transmission & Metering leadership qualities
- Ability to provide first line technical support to direct team and verify root causes for operational issues to maximise operational availability of assets
- Understands gas transmission and its assets, including;
- Experience of operational or technical asset management in gas transmission or petrochemical environment
- Technical understanding of a wide range of Gas Transmission Assets
- Sound understanding of engineering policy, procedures and statutory regulations associated with transmission assets
- Sound understanding of appropriate regulatory and legislative requirements (e..g., Control of Major Accident Hazard Regulations, Gas Safety (Management) Regulations, Pressure System Safety Regulations & Pipeline Safety Regulations), company standards and instructions
- Energetic and enthusiastic manager/leader with drive and ambition
- Knowledge of gas entry / exit procedures associated with GSMR and the Network Code
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Good financial management abilities upheld.*
