Job description

Maxwell Stephens Recruitment is supporting Quality Engineered Products in search of a proactive and hands‑on Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance across three key London sites, ensuring facilities are safe, compliant, and well‑maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Report to the Office Manager and support the delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Conduct regular inspections across several London locations.
  • Perform various handyman tasks, including plumbing, electrics, painting, decorating, etc.
  • Coordinate and supervise external contractors.
  • Ensure safety compliance, including fire safety systems and risk assessments.
  • Act as keyholder and oversee building security.
  • Assist in the rollout of a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and digitalise maintenance records and planning.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years experience in a maintenance or facilities‑related role.
  • A proactive approach with strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Practical experience across general building repairs.
  • Solid knowledge of Health & Safety and building compliance.
  • Experience managing both reactive and planned maintenance.
  • Good IT skills with an understanding of maintenance systems (e.g., CMMS).
  • A full UK driving licence and flexibility for occasional travel and out‑of‑hours work.
