Job description

Reporting to the Area Manager – Powertrain, the Maintenance Planner is responsible for coordinating the planning of Powertrain component builds within the Component Rebuild Centre.

This role involves coordinating with internal teams to plan and deliver component rebuilds on time. Success relies on clear communication, strong organisation, and proactive problem‑solving to meet customer needs and throughput goals.

Location: South Guildford, WA

What you’ll do
  • Collaborate with the Machine Shop, Parts Department, and workshop teams to develop and maintain a clear, actionable build schedule
  • Create and manage weekly component build plans that align with throughput targets and customer delivery expectations
  • Coordinate short‑term scheduling (up to two weeks ahead) to ensure timely execution of rebuilds
  • Align resources by working with internal teams to confirm parts availability and staffing readiness for upcoming component requirements
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders to provide accurate timelines and resolve planning challenges
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning processes to support operational efficiency and component growth
  • Foster strong working relationships across departments to ensure consistent execution of the component strategy
Skills and Experience
  • Mechanical Trade background desirable but not essential
  • Experience in a similar role such as a planner/scheduler, desirable but not essential
  • Previous work order management experience, desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
  • Demonstrated high level customer service skills with the ability to understand specific customer requirements and negotiate customer solutions with internal and external stakeholders
  • Planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities to meet objectives
