Job description

We are recruiting for a reliable and organised individual to support our Legal Aid Manager as a Legal Aid Assistant, based in either our Runcorn or Walton Vale office on a part-time basis. This support role combines general business administration with specific legal-sector tasks. The successful candidate will work within both the Criminal Law and Family teams and will report directly to the Legal Aid Manager.

If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment, enjoy working with data, and have a keen eye for detail, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in supporting our legal teams and maintaining the high standards our clients rely on.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, work effectively on their own initiative, and consistently apply meticulous attention to detail. Previous experience in the legal sector would be beneficial but is not essential. This role is well suited to individuals returning to work or seeking a part-time position with a structured workload.

This is a 21-hour-per-week role, with the working pattern negotiable at the point of recruitment.
