The School of Creative and Performing Arts invites applications for a Lecturer in Creative Media (26.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). The role is based at our Southend campus and will involve teaching across Level 1, 2 and 3 programmes and taking on Course Leader responsibilities for a group of learners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons to learners on Level 1, 2 and 3 programmes.
• Take on Course Leader responsibilities for a group of learners.
• Assess and provide formative and summative feedback to learners to help ensure progress.
• Work closely with team members, students, parents/carers and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong practical media skills and proficient use of Adobe Creative Cloud – specifically InDesign and Illustrator.
• Good understanding of theoretical practices in media, with application of theory into practice.
• Industry knowledge and experience to support students’ progression.
• Minimum Level 3 qualification in subject specialism plus Maths and English at Level 2 before embarking on a Cert Ed Level 5 or PGCE Level 6.
• The College can fund these in‑house qualifications.
