Qualifications

  • Handle on-call elements depending on project requirements.

Skills

Experience with Server Architecture and hardware installations

Detailed Windows operating system exposure and common Microsoft products

Our Digital Services Group (DSG) is a diverse business unit that provides a full spectrum of digital capabilities and is responsible for satisfying the technological requirements of the most secure settings. Reporting to our IT Team Lead, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your abilities and expertise to work alongside our small team of IT network and infrastructure engineers in supporting both internal and external projects.

You will be based at our Cambridgeshire Head Office, but this is primarily a field‑based role with regular UK travel and occasional overseas travel, depending on customer location.

Essential Experience
  • Experience with Server Architecture and hardware installations
  • Experience with Windows Server, Network protocols such as TCP/IP, Backup Technologies
  • Experience with Out of Band systems, Network Infrastructure, Virtualisation, VLANs, VPN and Wireless.
  • Detailed Windows operating system exposure along with common Microsoft products such as Exchange, SQL Server.
  • Deployment tool experience such as WSUS, SCCM, third‑party Patch management tools
  • Performance monitoring tools using WMI, SNMP, API integrations.
Nice to Haves
  • Linux Operating system experience
  • Understanding of Government Security Classifications
  • Working knowledge of the Jira Service Management ITSM tool

This role will contain some elements of On Call dependant on project requirements.
