Qualifications

  • Completion of Occupational Therapy Band 3 competencies.
  • At least 6 months previous experience as Occupational Therapy Technician in an acute Adult setting.
  • Good understanding and experience of conditions related to speciality.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a designated patient caseload and treat according to treatment protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with relevant Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Professionals.
  • Assist in informing and educating patients and carers about Occupational Therapy.

Skills

Experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
Knowledge of neurological related conditions
Ability to work independently
Well-developed observation skills
Good communication skills

Education

Health care related qualification at NVQ level 3
5 GCSEs Grade A-D including English and Maths
Completion of Occupational Therapy Band 3 competencies
