Job description

As the ICT Contracts Lead, you will be at the heart of this transformation, ensuring that our ICT contracts and supplier relationships deliver maximum value, compliance, and quality.

This is a high profile role within our ICT team, responsible for managing and negotiating contracts for critical ICT services, software, and infrastructure. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure procurement processes are robust, transparent, and aligned with public sector regulations. Your expertise will help us achieve cost efficiency, maintain service continuity, and support our overall council strategic objectives.

Who we are looking for…

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with strong commercial and contractual expertise to join our ICT team. You should have proven experience in managing ICT contracts, including drafting, negotiating, and monitoring supplier agreements, as well as a solid understanding of public sector procurement regulations and frameworks such as CCS or G-Cloud. Strong financial and analytical skills are essential to ensure compliance and value for money, alongside excellent stakeholder engagement skills to build effective relationships across departments and with external suppliers.

The role requires someone who can manage multiple contracts and priorities in a fast paced environment and who understands ICT services and technologies such as cloud solutions, infrastructure, and software licensing. A commitment to continuous improvement, governance, and risk management is key. Experience with contract lifecycle management tools and familiarity with sustainability and social value principles in procurement would be an advantage.
