Job summary

A leading software and services company in Chorley is seeking an Application Support Analyst to provide expert support for its Retail Suite applications. The role involves monitoring systems, resolving incidents, and assisting with installation and configuration across hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Apache Tomcat, SQL databases, and customer support. This full-time position offers a flexible hybrid working policy and requires excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience of deployment of Java applications utilising Apache Tomcat.
• Knowledge and Experience in Customer Support via Helpdesk.
• Ability to interrogate Microsoft SQL databases for incident resolution and reporting.
• Knowledge and experience of system monitoring solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and organisation skills.
• Strong attention to technical detail.
• Excellent written and oral communications with both technical and non-technical personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line and second-line support to customers via Helpdesk.
• Monitor service levels and resolve issues raised via monitoring applications and reports.
• Install and configure applications in Production and Test environments.
• Implement regular updates to Production environments.
• Administer application deployment on Windows VMs via RDP and in AWS via Argo.
• Work with different teams to investigate issues and implement solutions.
• Document incidents, problems, and resolutions.
