As a Housing Allocations Officer, you’ll play a critical role in delivering expert housing advice and ensuring fair and transparent allocation of social housing through our Choice Based Lettings system. You’ll work closely with housing applicants, internal teams, and external partners to uphold statutory responsibilities, assess housing needs, and provide guidance on the Council’s Allocation Policy.

We’re looking for someone with a strong understanding of housing legislation, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to equitable and accessible housing solutions for the Brighton and Hove community.

If you have experience in housing services, a customer‑focused approach, and the ability to manage complex information with clarity or you are passionate about developing a career in the sector, we would like the opportunity to consider you.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term‑time only.
