We are looking for a dedicated HGV Technician to join our team in West Thurrock, Essex.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: £18–£23.50 per hour plus bonus and overtime. You will receive a shift allowance of £25 per day for every late shift worked.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain and repair vehicle problems while adhering to Mercedes‑Benz guidelines
• Service vehicles to a high standard
• Work on electrical and mechanical systems
• Use diagnostic equipment effectively
• Carry out scheduled safety inspections and report required rectifications
• Complete job cards clearly and accurately
• Follow the repair process from fault analysis to completion
• Repair and replace parts as needed
• Support other technicians in the workshop

Shift schedule:
Week 1: 1:00 pm – 10:30 pm
Week 2: 6:00 am – 3:30 pm

Qualifications & Requirements

• Relevant formal qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair)
• Proven track record in vehicle repair and servicing
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures
• Full UK driving licence
• High‑quality standards, team‑player attitude and communication skills
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong technical background in automotive repair and service
• Knowledge of modern diagnostic equipment and maintenance of housekeeping standards
