Heating and Plumbing Engineer – Happy Owl Studio

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Gas Engineer to carry out installations, servicing, breakdowns, and repairs across a range of domestic properties. The successful candidate will be Gas Safe registered and committed to delivering high standards of workmanship and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out gas boiler installations, servicing, and repairs in line with manufacturer instructions and regulations.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in gas appliances and heating systems.
  • Perform landlord gas safety checks (CP12) and issue certificates.
  • Install, commission, and maintain gas appliances (boilers, cookers, fires, etc.).
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Ensure work complies with current Gas Safe and Building Regulations.
  • Complete all relevant documentation and digital reports accurately and on time.
  • Maintain safe working practices and adhere to health and safety procedures.
  • Manage own van stock and maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
Essential Qualifications
  • Gas Safe Registered (with up-to-date certification).
  • ACS Qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, etc.).
  • Proven experience in domestic gas engineering.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Qualifications
  • LPG or Commercial Gas qualifications (if applicable).
  • Experience working with smart thermostats and heating controls.
  • ASHP.
