The Role / Y swydd

The Head of Policy and Public Affairs works as part of the Senior Management Team to drive the work of the organisation in strategically influencing the direction of national policy in Wales to reflect and promote children’s rights and achieve positive change for children and young people in Wales.

The role oversees the Policy team of the organisation currently comprising 3 Policy Advisors, ensuring high individual and team performance, as well as supporting cross‑functional working with other functions in the organisation.

The role directly supports and advises the Commissioner and the organisation on all policy and public affairs matters.
