Head of Business Support – North West Fire Control

North West Fire Control (NWFC) is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our company leadership team as Head of Business Support. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to shape and lead the administrative, information, and business support functions that underpin the effective delivery of our vital emergency services.

About the Role
  • Provide strategic leadership across business support services, including HR, governance, data management, reception, and physical security.
  • Act as Company Secretary, ensuring compliance with the Companies Act 2006 and NWFC’s Articles of Association.
  • Lead and manage the Reception Team and the Information and Data Manager.
  • Oversee procurement, payroll, and budget planning for business support services.
  • Support managers with HR processes, investigations, and hearings.
  • Advise senior pisariaqart on employment law, recruitment, wellbeing, and pensions.
  • Deputise for the Head of NWFC in key operational areas including Estates, Finance, and Health & Safety.
  • Chair the People Advisory Committee and advise the Workforce Planning Committee.

Salary: £54,281 per annum (based on a 37 hour week), with progression to the full rate of £60,312.20
