The Role
- Manage graphic design proposals from typesetting through to design, print and production
- Brief and advise on design style, format, print production and timescales
- Develop concepts, graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites
- Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and font style and size
- Prepare rough drafts of material based on an agreed brief
- Review layouts and suggest improvements
- Liaise with external printers regularly to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality
- Leads the design of graphics, visualisations and written documents suited to particular audiences and purposes
- Produces high‑quality artwork appropriate for different media and technological constraints
- Leads and is responsible for all photography and videography requirements of the institution.
Qualification and Experience
- Minimum of a Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design or similar qualification. A First Degree will be an advantage
- Good knowledge of Web Designing, Photography and Videography
- Good knowledge of industry standard design software, such as InDesign or Illustrator, plus photo editing, including Photoshop
- Familiarity with online publication and web technologies (e.g., HTML + CSS)
