Job summary

A global engineering firm based in Manchester seeks a Managing Director to oversee strategic and operational aspects and to drive growth in the automotive and HVAC sectors. Suitable candidates will have extensive management experience and a proven record in engineering. This role requires strong leadership capabilities and an ability to work autonomously. The company is looking for a proactive leader with excellent communication skills and a degree in engineering or an MBA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ proven general/divisional management success with international scope.
• Immediate credibility across broad engineering domains, notably design/assembly of high-value machinery.
• Consistent record of forming high-performing cross-functional teams with engineering bias.
• Demonstrable value-creation refining processes and articulating new revenue streams.
• Proactive, ambitious leader with outstanding communication skills.
• Degree-level qualified, probably in Engineering, ideally MBA.

• P+L accountability across multi-£m global revenues.
• Empower and energise a large engineering and project-oriented workforce.
• Refine and embed process transparency for enhanced decision-making.
• Lead connections into automotive and HVAC communities.
