The General Manager will oversee all core business operations, ensuring efficient project delivery, strong team performance, high customer satisfaction, and effective financial management. This role requires a hands‑on, operationally focused leader who can balance strategic planning with day‑to‑day management in a fast‑paced environment.
Operational Oversight
Manage daily operations across sales, installation, and administrative functions.
Oversee scheduling, logistics, and workflow for installation teams to ensure on‑time, on‑budget project delivery.
Maintain quality assurance and ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
Team Leadership
Lead, manage, and develop a team of technicians, office staff, and subcontractors.
Conduct regular team meetings, check‑ins, and performance evaluations.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees.
Financial Management
Monitor cash flow and manage operating budgets.
Oversee accounts payable/receivable and approve job‑related expenses.
Implement cost‑control measures to maintain profitability.
Customer Relations
Act as the primary contact for escalated customer issues.
Ensure a positive customer experience through clear communication and timely project delivery.
Partner with the sales team by providing operational insights and support.
Strategic Planning
Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and overall business performance.
Implement systems and tools to enhance productivity and service delivery.
Contribute to goal‑setting, forecasting, and wider strategic decisions.
Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and proactively solve problems.
Industry experience preferred, ideally within solar, renewable energy, or residential services.
Valid driver's licence, required for site visits and occasional travel.
Technically proficient, with experience using project management platforms, CRM systems, and cloud‑based tools.
