Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years post-apprenticeship experience in mobile plant maintenance.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools for plant fault finding.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with site teams.

Fleet Maintenance Engineer

Monday to Friday – Days
Keele, Cheshire
Salary Circa £45,000

We have ambitious plans to enhance our engineering offering at our Keele site. With sites across the UK, we thrive on investing in our people and providing them with development opportunities and training.

Due to retirement we are looking to recruit for a Fleet Maintenance Engineer to look after our mobile plant on our busy manufacturing site based in Keele.

What's the mission?

The Fleet Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the service and maintenance of site mobile plant including forklift trucks, work savers, tractors, trailers, loading shovels and MEWPS. All equipment should be serviced and maintained to the required standards at minimum cost.

The Fleet Maintenance Engineer reports to the Engineering Manager, the job holder will be part of the site maintenance team but is expected to work with a high degree of autonomy. The job holder will be expected to develop and maintain productive working relationships with internal customers, site teams and external resources.

What are the mission-­critical skills?
Essential
  • Multi‐skilled time‑served mobile plant maintenance fitter, with a minimum of 3 years post‑apprenticeship experience.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to carry out plant fault finding using diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to analyse data presented, both written and graphically.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (MS Word & Excel).
Preferred
  • Experience of a Fleet Management System (OptaFleet).
  • Experience of SAP Plant Maintenance Module.
  • IOSH Managing Safely Certificate.
