Job description
Fire Damper Engineer – Scenic Prop and Design

Scenic Prop and Design is looking for Fire Damper Engineers to travel regionally across the UK for testing, maintenance, and installation of fire and smoke dampers. This is a field‑based full‑time role.

Responsibilities
  • Handling tools of various types, including heavy equipment, and ensuring safe set‑up.
  • Performing physical activities such as testing, maintenance, and installation of a wide range of fire and smoke damper systems.
  • Adhering to safety guidelines while on the job site.
  • Ensuring all tools and equipment are kept clean and in good repair.
  • Removing debris and waste from the site.
  • Ensuring specifications are met, including industry best practice, manufacturer literature, and standard product details.
  • Accurately reporting all works using EDSB's reporting platform.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services, including ventilation systems.
  • Good practical skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience in the passive fire & fire stopping industry (beneficial).
  • Recognised fire damper inspection qualification.
  • Manual dexterity and coordination skills.

Working Hours

08:30 to 17:00 Monday to Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch break. Salary will be discussed at interview stage.
