Position

Fire and Security Engineer at City Building Engineering Services (CBES)

Job Function

To undertake Fire Alarm / Emergency Lighting, CCTV, Intruder, and Access Maintenance, working within the Security and Fire team whilst operating in compliance with company policy and procedure.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company in a professional and competent manner at all times and develop strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Deliver CCTV, Intruder, Access and Fire Alarm / Emergency Lighting maintenance works on site in compliance with the agreed Service Level Agreement and within agreed timescales.
• Liaise with the Service Team at all times striving to ensure that all works are delivered on time.
• Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, CBES HSE management systems, procedures or instructions as they apply and ensure all colleagues and sub-contractors follow safe systems of work on site.
• Work on a stand‑by rota. Attend corrective calls efficiently.
• Identify and resolve repair, maintenance and installation issues that may occur during service delivery.
• Ensure company vehicle is kept clean, well maintained and serviced as required.
• Comply with any other reasonable management instruction.

• Deliver works in compliance with the client specification and within agreed timescales.
• Achieve completion of monthly planned maintenance works.
• Achieve and maintain 100% health and safety and job related competence.
• Maintain the company vehicle.
