Executive Assistant – Technip Energies

Location: Middlesbrough, England, United Kingdom.

Technip Energies is a world‑leading engineering and technology player. We bring our clients’ game‑changing projects to life and are committed to enhancing their performance. Our expertise includes a full range of design and project development services, from early engagement to delivery.

Technip Energies and its partners were awarded an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for the world’s first commercial scale gas‑fired power station with carbon capture. The construction site is located in the Tees Valley in the North‑East of England.

We are currently seeking an Executive Assistant to work alongside the Senior Leadership group and the rest of the team in the North‑East of England. The successful candidate will be site‑based once the site offices are established but will work from our temporary offices in Middlesbrough until then.

Role Overview

The Executive Assistant will provide high‑level administrative and strategic support to the Senior Management Team, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations and facilitating effective decision‑making. This role requires exceptional organisational skills, discretion, and the ability to manage a fast‑paced workload in a dynamic construction environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Manage schedules, coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and ensure timely follow‑ups.
  • Communication & Coordination: Act as a liaison between the Construction Director and internal/external stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and project teams.
  • Project Assistance: Assist in tracking key project milestones, compiling reports, and ensuring documentation accuracy.
  • Document & Data Management: Handle confidential information, draft correspondence, and maintain project records.
  • Travel & Logistics: Organise travel arrangements, site visits, and events as needed.
  • Financial & Resource Oversight: Support budget tracking, expense reporting, and procurement processes.
  • Problem‑Solving & Decision Support: Research, analyse, and present relevant information to aid decision‑making.
  • Compliance & Safety Awareness: Ensure adherence to industry regulations, health and safety policies, and company standards.
Key Qualifications & Skills
  • Proven experience in executive‑level administrative roles, preferably in construction, engineering, or energy projects.
  • Strong organisational, problem‑solving, and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise across multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools, and document control systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle confidential matters, and anticipate executive needs.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, site operations, and industry regulations is an advantage.
