The main purpose of this position is to carry out planned and reactive maintenance in support of a continuous brewing production plant including cover for all utilities areas If required. The role is vital for the efficiency, quality and cost of the plant. An Electrical Technician will look to improve the reliability, safety of the plant and production processes.This job description and the job title Electrical Technician is not necessarily descriptive of all duties and does not restrict flexibility. You may be required, from time to time, to carry out tasks in addition to or instead of your normal duties, either for the brewery or for AB InBev, provided that they are reasonable and within your capabilities.**Principal Duties and Responsibilities:**Working for the Brewing department, you will work in a team consisting of multi skilled Technicians. You be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance support across utilities equipment such as raw material processing which will involve ATEX area and EX areas, Fluid transfer via pump and conveyor, tightly controlled closed loop systems including level, pressure and flow.**Accountabilities:**Duties include:Electrical maintenance, including* Carry out planned preventative maintenance as laid out in schedule* PLC controlled systems - Allen Bradley PLC .* Fault finding, single and three phase supplies* Machinery fault diagnosis and repairs* Instrument calibration and functionality checks* In Depth knowledge of Loop control and instrumentation devices* 17th edition qualification* Use of Plant Optimisation tools to ensure sustainability of high departmental standards, Hygiene and PDCA* Undertake, drive and support maintenance and improvement activities* Share best practice across shifts with respect to maintenance and CIL* Review and develop safety and maintenance procedures (SWI)* Record all maintenance activities within maintenance management system (SAP)* Liaise with suppliers of OEM’s for the provision of spares/services* Maintenance prioritisation and planning* Support the development and maintenance of a high performance, flexible and “can do” culture* Analyse machines to improve performance* Identify critical spares for designated machines* Refurbish spares as required* Complete some work at heights, confined space & as a lone worker* Project work* Carry out quality inspections on jobs* Liaise with & assist client departments and customers* Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment* Monitor and control maintenance costs as part of the maintenance team* Write, review & update maintenance SOP’s, OPL’s & job tasks.* Work in a safe manner following all company policies and procedures* Ensure all safety systems are in working order**Key skills, knowledge and Competencies*** Proactive & self-managed engineer who is professional and has a can-do attitude* Good communication skills and above all take pride in the work they are completing* On occasions you will be expected to work with external contractors* Understanding Continuous Improvements, HACCP and Food Safety protocols.* Undertake activities to support VPO compliance and sustainability* Comply with health, safety and hygiene policies and practices at all times and ensure standards are maintained* Committed to a high performance and CI environment* Support a “Learning Organisation” environment* Analysis of numerical information and good IT literacy* Ability to make decisions and challenge* High levels of team working* Hygiene will be of the utmost importance and a good understanding of Quality testing and microbiology would be useful.* Ability to work under own initiative and prioritise workload effectively* Ability to work as part of a team, interacting effectively with a variety of departments and individuals* Strong organisation skills with a structured and systematic approach, adhering to deadlines, able to work on own initiative and prioritise workload effectively.
