A leading engineering firm in the UK is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. In this role, you will provide proactive and reactive maintenance on plant equipment while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. You will also participate in continuous improvement projects and oversee the performance of external contractors. The ideal candidate will possess an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and experience with continuous improvement practices. A competitive salary is offered for this role.
Salary: up to £52,271.31 per annum
Working pattern: 6am – 6pm and 6pm – 6am (Four on, four off rotation)
In this role you will form part of our engineering team onsite contributing to the internal & external preventative, reactive and corrective maintenance work on our plant equipment. Our goal as a team is to continuously improve machine reliability, availability & capacity to manufacturing standards.
Increase the site operational effectiveness, improve on project delivery, mean time between failure and downtime reduction, and manage and implement improvement plans, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.
Safety is at the heart of everything we do, and this role is no difference. You will liaise with the SHEQ team to resolve H&S, environmental, internal audits, GMP, COSHH and ISO quality issues. You’ll ensure all compliance checks are complete and correctly filed ensuring our site is operating in full compliance with UK regulations and Global manufacturing standards.
