This is an excellent opportunity to join a multi‑disciplinary engineering environment and play a key role in delivering a strategic new project.

Role Overview

As a Lead Electrical Design Engineer, you'll lead the full electrical design lifecycle for a complex avionic control bench, from concept architecture through to entry‑into‑service. Working closely with architecture, integration and test specialists, you'll be responsible for translating programme requirements into robust electrical design solutions while ensuring all milestones are delivered on time, to cost and to the highest quality standards. You will oversee the creation of detailed electrical schematics, drawings and technical specifications and you'll take the lead in managing risks and planning design reviews across key project gates. You'll guide the build and assembly phase, supervise validation and verification activities and ensure the final system meets all operational expectations.

  • Proven experience with electrical architecture design.
  • Instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems experience.
  • Knowledge of avionic data buses (A429, CAN, AFDX).
  • Understanding of avionic hardware interfaces (discretes, analogue systems).

Desirable:

  • Experience delivering large engineering projects.
