Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm in Portsmouth seeks a Quality Inspector to ensure high-quality standards are met for finished parts. Responsibilities include conducting visual inspections, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, and handling documentation accurately. Candidates should have experience with standard measuring equipment, knowledge of ISO and IATF standards, and good computer literacy. This role offers a salary starting at £30,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experienced in the use of standard measuring equipment and processes such as Mic’s and Vernier callipers.
• Basic knowledge of ISO9001 & IATF 16949 requirements is a distinct advantage.
• Good computer literacy in particular all MS Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect high-quality finished parts to detailed customer quality requirements.
• Check the presence of details such as metal fixings and fixing tape.
• Ensure documentation is completed correctly, including traceability data.
• Address all customer requirements and queries.

Overview

Visual inspection of high quality finished parts, ensuring customer standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect High Quality finished parts to detailed customer Quality requirements
• Checking the presence of details such as metal fixings and fixing tape
• Cross hatch testing to ensure coating adhesion
• Ensuring documentation is completed correctly, including traceability data
• Address all customer requirements
• Dealing with customer queries and complaints
• Use of manual and automated method for checking colour and surface finish
• Knowledge of quality standards and documentation

Qualifications

• Experienced in the use of standard measuring equipment and processes (Mic’s, Vernier callipers etc.)
• Basic knowledge of ISO9001 & IATF 16949 requirements is a distinct advantage
• Interaction with MRP/ERP systems (Javelin preferably)
• Good computer literacy in particular all MS Office programs.
• Experience working with injection moulding or plastic assembly processes
• Open and approachable communication abilities

Salary: 30,000+ DOE (inclusive of shift premium)
