A well-established healthcare organization is seeking a Functional Assessor to conduct client assessments and support the Department for Work and Pensions in determining eligibility for benefits. The role offers a salary starting at £39,500 per year, with full-time and part-time options available. Primary duties include carrying out assessments and producing reports. Ideal candidates are NMC registered nurses or HCPC qualified professionals with excellent communication skills and at least one year of post-registration experience.
NMC and HCPC professionals eligible to apply.
The Functional Assessor role will involve you carrying out 5 to 6 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.
This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a well-established, people focussed organisation. You'll receive outstanding training and support to ensure you are the best you can be in your new Disability Assessor role!
