How You'll Make An Impact

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, autonomous environment to impact our next level of platform engineering maturity. You'll innovate to keep our products' global platform reliable, secure and fast. You'll help enhance our system availability, observability, security and reliability whilst resolving issues before they impact our customers. You'll also play a role in the continued evolution of software delivery tooling and incident management capabilities, along with our "self-service" vision across Engineering.

What You'll Do

• Implement best practices for CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and observability that supports our continuous delivery practices.
• Lead initiatives to improve system reliability, performance, and security.
• Write tooling to support our self-service automation portal to improve visibility for engineers.
• Create and maintain innovative, automated solutions, tooling and alerting frameworks to improve the reliability of our production systems.
• Proactively address application, platform and database performance as we scale to global regions (and support our product engineering teams to do the same).
• Collaborate cross-functionally with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to ensure seamless application deployment.
• Build and maintain developer tools that improve efficiency, reduce friction, and accelerate software delivery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues proactively, always looking for opportunities to optimize and automate.
• Assist with on-call rotations and processes.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, onboarding materials, and training sessions to help engineers quickly adapt to tools and workflows.
• Educate, train and promote our culture of ownership to help our engineering teams better understand the production impact of their changes.
• Work closely with internal partners and teams to ensure that we ship software that meets security, SLA, and performance requirements.

What You'll Bring With You

• Senior-level experience as a SW Engineer writing code not just scripts (ideally C#, Ruby or TypeScript).
• Depth of experience across both development and operations.
• A proven track record of working with a breadth of AWS services.
• Credible knowledge of IAC practices with AWS CDK (or similar).
• Monitoring and observability experience, New Relic (or similar).
• Experience with automating security compliance.
• Knowledge of improving application stability and performance.
• Well-versed in containers; AWS ECS (preferred) or Kubernetes / Docker.
• Strong experience in automating infrastructure, testing, and deployments using tools like Ansible, Chef, GitHub Actions, etc.

• AWS Solution Architect certification.
• Knowledge of large data sets and data warehousing capabilities.
• Experience with AI tools and techniques to improve engineering effectiveness.
