Overview

We’re looking for a Director of Engineering to join our talented team and play a key role inside our Global Strategy group leading our hardware devices global engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Own the global hardware and firmware architecture and roadmap, aligning technical direction with EDMI’s product strategy, growth ambitions, and future market needs. Set the vision for next-generation platforms and device innovation.
• Lead and evolve EDMI’s hardware, firmware, and product engineering functions enabling strong engineering excellence and a quality-first culture. Act as the highest technical authority across product lines, ensuring scalable, sustainable, and supportable solutions.
• Provide executive oversight of critical field issues, firmware evolution, regulatory changes, and component obsolescence, balancing short-term delivery with long-term product health.
• Partner closely with Product, Software, Manufacturing, Operations, and PMO leaders to deliver integrated, end-to-end outcomes across the product lifecycle.
• Own the technical performance of EDMI’s global hardware portfolio, spanning NPI to EOL. Lead the constant evolution of engineering capability, governance, and leadership to future-proof EDMI’s products and platforms.
• EDMI’s OneEDMI culture, developing future engineering leaders and building a resilient, high-performing organisation.

Qualifications
