We are looking for a Duty Officer to join our friendly and professional team. Working with the Pools Manager & Pools Operations Manager as well as Duty Managers, you will ensure performance potential is optimised and all work is carried out to the highest standard, leading the team of Lifeguards at the busy leisure pool.
You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day running of the leisure centre to the highest standard and will be offered the full opportunity to develop all the skills required for a Duty Manager. We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, ideally with experience working in a leisure environment, but more importantly, someone who has passion and drive, can think on their feet, stay calm under pressure, and deal with people from all walks of life.
You will be responsible for the operational management and supervision of the pool facility during your shift. This includes opening/closing procedures, pool tests, ensuring health & safety compliance, supervising staff (Lifeguards), managing customer service, cleaning, rigging/derigging of sports equipment, and assisting with incidents as required. You will work within the Team of Duty Officers to provide the best possible service to our customers and lead the team in day‑to‑day tasks.
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Sunday (rota basis).
Salary: up to £28,155 per annum.
