Deputy Warehouse Manager

Department: Warehouse

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: CPU - North Acton

Reporting To: Warehouse Manager

Compensation: £15.00 / hour

Description

Support the Warehouse Manager in running a safe, efficient and customer-focused warehouse. Act as deputy for the manager in their absence and assist the team in delivering day-to-day operations while maintaining BRC food safety and quality standards.

What you’ll do at Pasta Evangelists:
  • Provide support for the supervision of daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management and goods in/out.
  • Support the scheduling and management of warehouse staff to meet operational demands and maximise efficiency.
  • Receive and dispatch deliveries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee the picking of products for customers to maintain high quality and accuracy standards.
  • Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment, tools and machinery, coordinating maintenance when necessary.
  • Support the Warehouse Manager in maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers and external logistics partners.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimise warehouse processes.
  • Use “Odoo” and other warehouse management systems to track inventory, orders and reports.
Who you are:
  • You will have proven experience of working in a warehouse environment, ideally with supervisory or assistant management responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management procedures and BRC standards.
  • A confident computer user with experience of warehouse management systems such as Odoo, comfortable with handling digital inventory, reporting and workflow tools.
  • Knowledge of KPIs and ability to help the team meet operational goals.
  • You have leadership potential and the ability to motivate and support staff.
  • You have strong problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills.
  • Forklift licence.
