Location: Winchester

Hours per week: 42 hours per week ( 30 hours on shift and 12 hours Admin)

Salary: £15.60 per hour

Employment Type: Permanent

About the role

We are looking for a passionate, resilient, and highly experienced Deputy Enablement Manager to join our team in Winchester..

The Deputy Enablement Manager will:

Work on rota directly supporting the people we support as well as provide coaching and mentoring to our teams of Enablement Assistants. This will include working across all shift patterns including days, nights, evenings, weekends, sleep‑ins and being on‑call.

Work off rota ensuring our quality assurance processes are met, and upskilling the teams, completing supervisions, probations and appraisals, debriefs and welfare checks, delivering training, reviewing paperwork, supporting with transitions, providing a buddy system to other management teams, and generally supporting the Manager to effectively manage the teams in that geographical area. This split of time is flexible and will be dependent on the needs of the people we support.

You’ll act as a role model and mentor to the team and facilitate the use of collaborative working and creative solutions to enable both them and the people we support to achieve individual goals and develop. Working in partnership with the people we support, their family, our specialist support teams and external agencies you’ll champion interactions, person‑centred planning and implement support plans that improve the quality of everyday life for those we support.

The goal is to shift the focus away from reducing challenging behaviour to understanding what that behaviour means and supporting people to get what they need better.
