Overview

The Savings Bank is a strong, stable, and independent community bank headquartered in Wakefield, MA, with eight full-service banking offices. We currently have a part-time opportunity to join our Deposit Operations team, assisting both customers and colleagues with back‑office support.

Deposit Operations Representatives are an integral part of our processing team. They provide internal and external support, both directly to customers as well as to other Bank departments. We are seeking a Part Time (20 hours a week) Deposit Operations Representative that supports our deposit operations team with primary focus on fraud alert reviews and the processing of legal orders, including levies and garnishments. This role will also assist with other deposit operations functions to ensure accurate processing, regulatory compliance, and excellent internal service.

Primary Functions
  • Review, investigate, and resolve fraud alerts in a timely manner, following established procedures and regulatory requirements. Assist in processing check fraud claims.
  • Process account levies, garnishments, and other legal orders accurately and within required time frames.
  • Communicate with internal departments regarding fraud cases, legal holds, and account restrictions as needed.
  • Assist Deposit Operations Manager with research for subpoenas.
  • Support general deposit operations functions, including account maintenance, transaction research, wire transferring, and Reg E disputes.
  • Respond to internal inquiries related to deposit accounts and operational issues.
Preparation, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of financial services technology and products.
  • Knowledge and application of all policies, procedures and regulations for deposit operations.
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and email programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Strong time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Salary Range

$19.46 - $25.28 - $31.16
