A leading educational institution in the UK is offering an apprenticeship in Advanced Site Carpentry and Advanced Architectural Joinery. The program prepares apprentices to work on complex projects such as installing roofs, doors, and bespoke joinery. Candidates must have a Level 2 Qualification in Site Carpentry/Joinery and GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4 or above. This apprenticeship provides hands-on training with safety standards and career advancement opportunities in construction.
This apprenticeship offers two pathways: Advanced Site Carpentry or Advanced Architectural Joinery. Advanced Site Carpenters work on construction sites installing and erecting complex roof structures, doors, windows, partitions, and bespoke fittings. Advanced Architectural Joiners work in a workshop producing complex joinery, including customised door sets, windows, staircases, and products with curvature and veneering, using woodworking machinery such as saws, planers, CNC routers, and sanders.

Upon completion, apprentices may enter employment within a construction company, establish their own contracting business, or pursue higher education. Many advance to a Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor Apprenticeship.
Typical requirements include GCSE grade 4 or above in English and Maths. Applicants 19 or older may not need functional skills unless requested by the employer. Applicants should hold a Level 2 Qualification in Site Carpentry/Joinery or have completed a Level 2 Apprenticeship standard in Carpentry or Joinery.
