Job description

We’re looking for a Conveyancing Paralegal to join our brilliant team of Property Lawyers in central Stockport. In this role, you’ll work alongside an experienced Key Task Lawyer, supporting a varied residential property caseload and gaining exposure to every stage of the conveyancing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support a Key Task Lawyer to ensure all files progress smoothly and efficiently.
  • Deal with case enquiries via telephone, email and digital communication channels (including InCase).
  • Set up, sign off and run completions, ensuring all checks and documentation are handled accurately.
  • Assist with completions and all associated administration between Exchange and Completion.
  • Monitor and cover team inboxes during peak holiday periods to ensure seamless client service.
  • Support file milestone reviews, follow-ups and reporting to help drive timely completions and maintain momentum on files.
  • Enhance the client journey by making effective use of our conveyancing systems and technology.
  • Liaise with clients, lenders, mortgage brokers and other solicitors professionally and proactively.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed notes throughout transactions and promptly handle correspondence.
  • Work from task lists, actioning prompts and next steps in a timely manner.
  • Accurately input data into the case management system.
What you’ll need
  • Previous experience in a Conveyancing Assistant or Conveyancing Support role.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build excellent client relationships.
  • Experience using Case Management Systems (Visual Files experience desirable).
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with strong attention to detail.
