A local government authority is seeking a Temporary Part-time Control Room Manager to oversee a multifunctional control room and develop new systems. The role requires a management background, qualifications in engineering or security, and the ability to work additional hours when necessary. The position is part-time at 20 hours per week and involves managing a team while ensuring compliance and emergency service collaboration. As part of the wider Transport team in County Hall, staff in the Control Room deliver and implement a 24/7 service, providing a safe, informed and accessible city for all road users. This includes using systems such as City Centre Access, Tunnel Scada and CCTV. We are looking for someone exceptional to lead that team with innovation, dedication and the ability to navigate a future move to a brand new location.

This role is part-time at 20 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. The advertised salary is based on a full-time role (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). The actual salary will be lower than the advertised salary because of the part-time hours and weeks worked.
This post is temporary for 3 years.
