Job Summary

1 x Consultant for Hallam Street Hospital, West Bromwich (JD currently with Royal College for approval). We are delighted to recruit a Consultant Grade Psychiatrist for the General Adult Sandwell Team in the Black Country. Applications are invited for a full‑time Consultant Psychiatrist in West Bromwich. This vacancy has arisen as a result of service development.

Main Duties of the Job

The post is for a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist working in Hallam Street Hospital, West Bromwich. The post holder will lead the General Adult mental health team services by working closely with the service manager and a multi‑disciplinary team comprising nurses, specialist doctors, and psychologists. The post holder will join the peer group of consultants providing comprehensive mental health services as part of Community Mental Health Teams in each locality. We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled clinician who will lead the MDT and who will take a keen interest in teaching, training and service development. The post holder will work full time to a 10 PA job plan.
