Salary: £37,602 – £47,229 per annum

Are you an experienced professional with excellent understanding of CIL and S106 and want to join a positive and ambitious team?

As a CIL and S106 Officer, you will be part of our Spatial Planning Service, working across both Councils with an extensive CIL and S106 caseload, administering CIL and monitoring S106 agreements relating to developments. There are a variety of different types and scale of development in both boroughs, from the iconic Battersea Power Station and the Ram Brewery to small residential extensions.

About the role

You will work on a wide range of casework, including householder applications and major developments, providing CIL and S106 advice to colleagues within the Councils, while engaging with residents and developers to ensure compliance with the CIL requirements.

Developer contributions collected ensure necessary infrastructure to support Local Plan priorities can be delivered, whilst planning obligations ensure site specific mitigation of the impacts of new development for the benefit of residents, businesses and the local community.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • You will need a full knowledge of the Community Infrastructure Levy, up-to-date knowledge of S106 agreements and CIL Regulations and how they apply to development.
  • You must have experience administering CIL or S106 agreements or working in Development Management.
  • Proven information, management and numeracy skills, with ability to work on detailed calculations in a high-pressure environment.
  • You will have the ability to work effectively to meet challenging deadlines and competing & changing priorities.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, and the ability to use a wide range of computer software to carry out the role.
