Position: Casual Community Youth Worker (Kids & Adults)

Location & Pay

Leeds Road Sports Complex, Huddersfield, HD2 1YY. Salary: £14.00/hr for assistant coaches (NGB Level 1 required) and £17.00/hr for lead coaches (NGB Level 2 required).

Working Pattern

Discretionary sessional hours per week, including evenings and weekends.

The Huddersfield Town Foundation, Leeds Road Sports Complex.

Role Overview

We are seeking purpose‑driven casual community youth workers to support the delivery of the Foundation’s charitable programmes across Community Engagement, helping children in educational and community settings across Kirklees. You will deliver practical sessions on a range of programmes to young people and adults, traveling to schools and community settings on weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging and fun sessions relevant to participants and project aims.
  • Support the use of sport to engage and inspire people of different ages and backgrounds.
  • Work indoors and outdoors, adapt to diverse locations, and maintain a flexible approach to scheduling.
  • Communicate effectively and build positive relationships with participants and colleagues.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum NGB Level 1 qualification for assistant roles; NGB Level 2 for lead roles.
  • Experience and qualification as a youth worker.
  • Passion for sport‑based engagement and community development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced Criminal Records Check (CRC) and clearance for work in football (FA) as part of safeguarding.
  • Disclosure of all previous convictions, including spent convictions, in accordance with legislation.
