Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Business Support Administrator to join the Clinical Gender Specialist Team at the West of England Specialist Gender Identity Clinic (WESGIC). This key administrative role supports the delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centred care through efficient and effective administrative support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage clinical correspondence, appointment scheduling and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Enter data promptly and accurately into our clinical records system.
  • Act as the first point of contact for administrative queries, liaising closely with clinical colleagues and other administrative staff to support patients throughout their care pathway.
  • Contribute to the review and improvement of administrative processes to enhance efficiency and support high‑quality service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with Trust policies, procedures and data protection standards.
  • Collaborate with the wider administrative team and participate in training and development opportunities.

Qualifications
  • Business Administration Level 3 / T Level qualification in Management and Administration, or equivalent experience.

Desirable Qualifications
  • ICDL (International Computer Driving License) or equivalent experience.
Essential Experience
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and adapt to change.
  • Previous experience of working within an administrative or secretarial team.
  • Experience of dealing with confidential and complex information.
  • Experience working in a Healthcare or Social Care administrative setting.
Desirable Experience
  • Ability to take accurate formal and informal minutes.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
