A leading consultancy firm in Manchester seeks a Business Development & Marketing Executive to support marketing activities and drive business growth. The role requires experience in professional services, strong marketing skills, and the ability to manage client relationships effectively. The position is hybrid, requiring two days in the office. ROLE PURPOSE: As Business Development & Marketing Executive in Environment & HSR you will support the marketing and business development activity to generate new work within those divisions. Our Environment & HSR colleagues are recognised experts in their fields and the divisions comprise some 400 professional staff. Our BD team leads a diverse range of BD and marketing activity therein and supports key technical winner-doers in driving business growth. The role is an important part of our work and growth generation. Working with the Senior BD Director and BD Assistant, you will work with a diverse range of colleagues from Operations Directors and Technical and Associate Directors across the UK, as well as our in-house corporate marketing and bids teams.
Your day-to-day will be varied - ranging from generating content for promotional campaigns, social media, and thought leadership articles, to direct client outreach, events and input to bids and proposals. You’ll also lead and complete discrete tasks and BD and marketing activity in your own right. You’ll be highly visible within the divisions due to the network of colleagues you’ll work with and collaborate with, as well as external contacts in client organisations. A strong understanding of BD and marketing, especially in multi-disciplinary professional services firms, is an important requirement.
400 staff across 15 main UK offices; BD team of 3 staff plus central corporate marketing and bid teams including business support, principally private and quasi-public sector clients in 5 main markets, technical projects ranging from single service to large multi-disciplinary involving other business units. Our projects range from a few £thousands to £millions with BD tending to support the larger scale opportunities. The role includes identifying these opportunities of scale from pipeline through to commission. We have a dedicated BD and marketing budget to support key BD activity which we manage on behalf of the business. The role would be roughly 70% focused on Environment and 30% on HSR. This role can be based from any of our Tetra Tech RPS Consulting offices and is a hybrid role that requires a minimum of two days per week in the office.
