Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Location: Dartford

Opportunity

We're growing our Commercial Team in Dartford and looking for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to take their career to the next level. You’ll play a key role in delivering temporary accommodation and hoarding projects, supporting cost management, reporting, and contract administration across a wide range of works.

What You’ll Do
  • Own QS responsibilities: measurement, valuation & work agreements
  • Prepare interim applications for payment & subcontractor accounts
  • Price variations and negotiate changes with clients & supply chain
  • Assist in tenders & establish project budgets ("budget to build")
  • Monitor, control & report costs – ensuring projects stay on track
  • Administer NEC, JCT & bespoke contracts
About You
  • 2–3 years' experience in a QS role (main contractor / plant hire preferred)
  • Strong numeracy & commercial awareness
  • Confident communicator, collaborator & negotiator
  • Proactive, motivated & able to work independently
  • Passionate about construction, safety & doing things the right way
