Role Summary
  • Responsibilities: You will work on projects that involve the detailed analysis and presentation of data from clinical trials, which are instrumental to the successful uptake of novel therapies
  • Salary: £39,000 per annum (salary bands are determined by level of educational attainment to ensure a fair and consistent approach for all applicants, eliminating the need for individual negotiations)

About the Role

Analysts and Medical Writers work on projects involving the detailed analysis of data from clinical trials and the assimilation and creative presentation of this analysis in different formats. Deliverables include posters, slide sets, value dossiers, reports and peer-reviewed publications used by clients in communications with external stakeholders, supporting the uptake of novel therapies. Work is project-based, typically across several disease areas.

You will work in project teams alongside experienced colleagues who provide one-to-one training in project management and client communication. Delivering project work requires close collaboration with clients, and you will participate in teleconferences and face-to-face meetings with external stakeholders.

Costello Medical is structured into teams focusing on medical communications, health economics services, or specific healthcare sectors. You may specify team interests in your application; you will be assigned a home team but will work across teams where possible to develop a broad understanding of services and clients.

Market Access, HTA, Medical Affairs, Literature Reviews, Publications, Rare Diseases, MedTech, Real-World Evidence, Pro Bono, Health Policy, Health Economics and Statistics are key service areas. A role in these teams involves evidence generation, literature reviews, stakeholder engagement, economic modelling, and creating global materials to demonstrate value and support patient access. The roles suit those with an interest in patient access to healthcare, fast learning, strategic thinking and strong writing skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting detailed analysis of clinical trial data and creating materials for different audiences
