Job summary

A leading charity in health and social care is looking for dedicated support workers in Liverpool to assist individuals with autism and learning disabilities. Qualifications

Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role

You will support a lady with varying needs and different challenges in her life, which include autism, learning disabilities and some element of mental health. She is mobile and may need prompting with personal care, but has a strict routine that she likes to follow, which is very important for her.

Other Key Information
  • There is always at least 3 colleagues on shift.
  • We like our staff to work Mornings 8am to 8pm, I would really appreciate if my support staff is a driver as I need to go out for a drive at least twice a day. This makes me really happy and calm.
  • In order to support us to have the Best Life Possible our team have specialist training in autism and learning disabilities and mental health.
Your values & qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 in Social Care or strong experience in mental health, autism and sensory communication, and physical health.

If you do not have a qualification, you will need to have experience in social care.

You will know how to connect with people and be passionate about supporting people to live independently. You will also be a brilliant mentor and share your skills and experiences with your colleagues.

We will develop your talents with a range of specialist training, including the opportunity to learn Positive Behaviour Support methods.

During recruitment you will meet the people we support in their home. This will allow you to see their wonderful personalities first-hand and fully understand the level of support that they require.
