Position Overview

The Account Executive drives revenue growth for existing and new accounts across all products. Success is measured by expanding product usage with existing customers, transitioning customers to the Diligent One Platform, and selling the Diligent One Platform to new customers. The role leads prospecting, pipeline management, forecasting, and account execution, requiring commercial acumen and a proven track record of success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build deep knowledge of Diligent’s products, solutions, strategy and business priorities.
  • Prospect new and existing business within a designated vertical/territory for complex accounts with long sales cycles.
  • Adopt a solutions‑selling approach, understanding customer needs and framing solutions through the lens of the Diligent One Platform.
  • Build deep relationships with prospects and customers, honoring commitments and connecting them to internal stakeholders to foster product growth.
  • Develop and execute account plans that meet revenue targets, quota and customer business needs; collaborate with stakeholders for integrated joint account wins.
  • Coordinate Sales stakeholders to prioritize actions for multiple accounts based on customer needs, sales importance and risk.
  • Develop specialized business plans for customers to drive new business and upsells; present plans to generate qualified opportunities.
  • Create and lead feedback loops with product management and marketing to communicate customer pain points.
  • Demonstrate sales excellence by managing the end‑to‑end cycle from opportunity to close using Diligent’s approved sales methodology.
  • Use sales tools to prospect new leads, schedule meetings, increase win rates and generate bookings.
  • Maintain accurate SFDC records, forecast and report projected bookings and deals closed regularly.
  • Show deep understanding of the competitive landscape, customers’ business strategy and industry direction.
Required Experience/Skills
  • 5+ years proven track record of success in account management/new business and revenue attainment within highly regulated or GRC‑related industries.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Continuous learning mindset, with expertise of internal products, external trends and customer landscape.
  • Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, aligning technology solutions with business objectives.
  • Self‑motivated, results‑driven, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
