They are seeking an innovative Product Development Engineer to drive R&D and spearhead product development, turning breakthrough technology into real-world impact.

Job Description:

As a Product Development Engineer, you will be deeply involved in the hands-on development of their cutting-edge technology for atmospheric water harvesting and energy-efficient dehumidification. You will play a key role in driving innovation and developing new concepts, transforming breakthrough ideas into real-world applications. This role is ideal for a practical, R&D-driven engineer who thrives on designing, prototyping, and optimizing high-performance, competitive products. You will be responsible for conducting research, applying mechanical and thermal engineering principles, and actively contributing to the end-to-end product development process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technology Innovation & R&D: Drive the research and development of new concepts, materials, and technologies to invent cutting-edge solutions for atmospheric water harvesting and energy-efficient dehumidification
• Product Development: Lead the end-to-end development of new technologies, from concept to functional prototypes, ensuring high performance, efficiency, and sustainability
• Mechanical & Thermal Engineering: Apply fundamental engineering principles to design and optimize systems, solving complex challenges in heat and mass transfer
• Prototyping & Testing: Build, test, and refine prototypes, analyzing data to continuously improve performance and reliability
• Documentation & IP Filing: Maintain detailed records of R&D progress, experimental results, and technical findings, including technical writing for intellectual property and patent filing
  
  
  

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in product development and R&D, preferably in climate tech, HVAC, atmospheric water harvesting, or related industries
• Proven experience in building innovative products from concept to commercialization
• Strong understanding of mechanical and thermal engineering principles, with a hands-on approach to innovation
• Knowledge of material science, particularly desiccants
• Experience in prototyping, testing, and iterative design processes
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of R&D initiatives, and drive product development from concept to realization
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for developing breakthrough technologies
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment
• Passion for sustainability and a commitment to developing impactful, energy-efficient solutions
• Experience with simulation tools (CFD, ANSYS, COMSOL) is a plus
