Role Overview:

Primary purpose is to provide in-depth analysis and actionable investment recommendations to support informed decision-making. You will leverage your expertise in biotechnology to evaluate the financial health, market potential, and competitive positioning of biotech companies. Your insights will guide investment strategies, helping Lunate navigate the complexities of the biotech industry and capitalize on emerging opportunities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Investment Analysis and Execution:

• Conduct thorough due diligence and financial analysis of potential BioTech investment opportunities.
• Develop and present investment theses and recommendations to the investment committee.
• Lead and manage the execution of investment transactions, including negotiations, structuring, and closing.
• Monitor and manage existing BioTech investments, providing strategic guidance and support to portfolio companies.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and risk assessments of portfolio companies.
• Work closely with portfolio company management teams to drive value creation initiatives.

Strategic Partnerships:

• Collaborate with AlphaWave and other strategic partners to identify and evaluate co-investment opportunities.
• Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including fund managers, industry experts, and other investors.

Market Research and Networking:

• Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes in the BioTech sector.
• Represent Lunate at industry conferences, networking events, and meetings with potential investment targets.

Qualifications and Experience:

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, PhD) preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in equity research, private equity, venture capital, or a related field, with a focus on BioTech investments.
• Strong financial modeling, analytical, and valuation skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
