Managing Staff Deployments
- Plan and organize transport requirements to ensure availability of operational requirements and ensure all processes are followed.
- Responsible for staff transport arrangements both regular and/or special trips.
- Ensure all staff reach their respective locations on time.
- Oversee and schedule the day-to-day activities of transportation employees.
- Liaison with the operations team on all transport-related tasks for better service and value to the client and identifying any potential shortfalls.
- Find appropriate solutions for adhoc transportation/logistic issues.
Fleet Management
- Coordinates the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of owned and rental vehicles.
- Should adhere to security and operational procedures.
- Managing vehicles with regards to day-to-day maintenance records both mechanical and GPS systems.
- Observing vehicle maintenance cost.
- Develop, implement, and monitor processes and control to ensure a watertight usage of vehicles to avoid personal usage.
- Collect and verify the Rent-A-Car bills ensure timely submission to finance for payment.
- All accidental/incidental damages must be informed to LINE Manager.
Team Management
- Communicate effectively with all transportation employees.
- Manage conflict.
- Provide supervision, guidance on day-to-day activity and identify training needs for the team.
- Act as a liaison between the teams and LINE Manager.
Operational Support
- Plan the transport operation to deliver optimum quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Make sure a detailed plan is distributed to transportation employees.
- Accountable for preparing duty rosters on weekday/off-day shifts (Day and Night) based upon the client needs/requests to meet the operational desires.
- Must be available on call 24/7 for deployment-related calls.
Reporting/Administrative Support
- Prepare and verify the time and attendance records of the drivers and monthly inter-departmental reports.
- Assist supervisor in duties pertaining to transportation issues in the supervisor’s absence.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or administrative staff which are consistent with the general requirements.
Qualifications
- Computer/Know How and must have a valid UAE driver's license.
- Years of industry experience and on-the-job training.
- 5 plus years of overall experience, minimum 3 years of experience in Managing large fleet operation in any industry with experience in database and computer applications.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance preferred.
- Good communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
